I’ve been designing, creating and inventing since the age of 5, my first creation being long socks for my rather non compliant dog! I first sat on a treadle sewing machine aged 6 and that was it for me! I never wanted to make a career out of the fashion industry as it held no interest for me at all.
At 18 I taught myself plumbing and electrics, followed by roofing and stone masonry and went on to renovate the old house in which I lived. Throughout this time I was always sewing, creating, bringing materials together and always adding to my collection of eccentric and antique foraged bits and bobs.
My love of Victorian clothing, engineering and invention grew until one day I was searching the web and found the word Steampunk.Me in a nutshell and its been a joy to find so many folk out there with whom I can relate and share the fun of all things brass and curious.
